    The ADT deal itself was excellent and given the fact I was looking for a system urgently I would of been put off by the aggresive and obnoxious salesmen who sold the product. Having agreed a home visit to discuss installation with one salesman, at a cost of £5 per week, the second salesman cancelled 2 home visits with 20 minutes notice and stating he had family commitments.     having moved house we were fitted with an Alarm which was impractical as it needed good mobile signal, having had it installed for 6 months we received a letter to say they could not get a signal. An engineer turned up explained it was not what we needed and arranged an upgrade to a system which fitted more neatly in the house and worked!   • ADT will leave you UNPROTECTED



    If you can avoid using ADT I recommend that you do. Although their actual monitoring service is great, their customer service is terrible. My monitoring is out through their faulty equipment and they can not find an appointment for more than 3 weeks. So no cameras etc, just waiting for some event to happen that can not be documented while they rush to see new customers.     BEWARE! I switched from ADT to another monitoring company. When he came to install the new system we saw a red light blinking on the ADT box. When we opened the cover the SIM card had fallen out meaning ADT couldn't receive a signal from my home. When I called ADT the last active signal they received was 6 months prior!   • ADT scam, inoperable equipment, excessive termination fee



    My business had an alarm system for thirty five years and unfortunately stopped working. That's when my misery began with ADT and Alarm System Now. Since, the initial installation everything has been horrible. The technician stated I'm running to my van and I'll be back to finish installation. Well he never came back that day.   • Very very bad services



    I will give ADT a negative score if possible. This is the third time in a row our alarm system gave a low battery signal at around 3am. Yesterday I spent more than two hours on the phone to try to arrange an appointment to fix it, which should be totally free under my maintenance plan. At the end, I gave up. It has been at least ten times before when we have to check our coverage under maintenance plan, every single time, the rep promises all my coverage was updated by him/her in their system we will never need to go through it again.     Last night I had the 2nd alarm event in a week. I called ADT and after turning off the alarm, they found, with my help, that my access code had reverted to what it was before I changed it during last week's alarm event.     After several false alarms and non- emergency phone calls from ADT lies about my system I found that the battery pack had caught fire and melted so I took their system out of my home after being told it would have set my house a fire. Filed a report with the BBB with no results.     I ha very bad experience with this company. They withdrew money from my account without my consent. We had dispute going on for some time. Rather than giving me explanation for that sum they just withdrew from my account& I was overdrawn from my for which I had to pay charges. I am so unhappy with this company.   • ADT Failed to contact Police during an actual burglary



    Recently my home was broken into, my ADT security system functioned exactly as it should. Glass break sensor and motion detector both set off the alarm. ADT called our home and left a voice message on our answering machine and that was all. They did not contact the local police department or 911, they did not attempt to contact our additional emergency numbers.   • Poor management



    The too buffoons who run the WPB office need a lessen in how to interview properly. At both the interview and at orientation I was never told we'd go "door to door" trying to sell alarms! This was conveniently left out until day three of "training", also I was told that I would be paid $40.00 for training, which I was but when you go door to door the only way you get paid is if you sell an alarm, again this was also left out.So I wasted a week of my life walking the streets of these neighborhoods and I did it for free.     I have a ADT system built into my home, Being in a new home in a safe part of the city i didnt feel it was necessary to have the system monitored but was thinking about it.     After one year of trying to upgrade to the pulse system without any call backs from a rep, I finally was able to get an appointment date. On 11/18/13 I took a day off from work to get my system upgraded, however that did not happen.     2/28/13 received an invoice for $202.93 for services that I had canceleed in Sept 2012. I've been with this company despite the horrible reviews since 2002. I called to understand why I hadn't even received an invoice since Sept 2012, and 7 months later receive a collections notice.   • ADT - Didn't replace faulty sensors; couldn't alarm house



    We had to fire ADT Security for lack of service. Although I pay monthly for maintenance %u2013 I couldn%u2019t get a faulty sensor replaced! On 9/5 after more than a week of messing with 2 sensors, I made an appointment to have 2 faulty sensors replaced.     After being with adt at our old house for 14 months we moved. Adt came to install the wireless system in the house we just bought but was unable to b/c there product couldnt get a signal. When i caled them about it they said our only option was to pay $700 to get out of our previos contract or get a landline.     the contracts are very one sided. ADT has been a pain in my side for years now. You have no options in the contract to terminate it but every 6 months or so your bill will increase and you will have no way to dispute. Just very frustrating. I am happy to be free of their tactics and happily protected by another company.     We ordered and PAID for and complete ADT system for our new home over weeks ago The Installer requested a original copy of our DEED OF TRUST to our home, which I reluctanlty gave to him. I also faxed, emailed and mailed copies to ADT, as well as, had our title compant do the same.     My husband and I installed an ADT wireless system about 1.5years ago. Less than 24hrs after the system was installed a technician had to come back out because a zone was in alarm. We fought zone alarms for MONTHS!! I have lost count of how many times I have been on the phone trying to figure out what was going on.     ADT does not delliver on protection or on customer service. In October of last year, our contractor turned off the system.     I've been an ADT customer since the year 2001. The old system was wonderful, in some cases, if it works don't change it.     We installed a security system in our new home in August 2008- WE PAID for it to be installed, just over 280.00. We pay monthly service also. (no freebies here!)     I have 2 thoughts on ADT; 1. I have them because they bought Rollins. I thought Rollins was much better in technical support. I have a large home system that would be pricey to replace, and they seem to want me to replace it rather than fix it. 2. The reason I use them is for monitoring. They do a good job there. I called and cancelled my service on 10/16/2013. I had three days to do so. I talked to a man name Greg, or that's what he said. Would not give his last name. Account: 10620222 should be closed as of 10/16/2013. I'm doing this so I have a record of cancellation. They were very rude and wanted a reason, I don't have to have a reason, ADT's contract says nothing about needing a reason in the first 3 days.

Very frustrated with service. Alarm not working for some time. Finally got someone to come out and took a 1/2 day off work. They could not finish and had to order some parts. Took a second 1/2 day off work and still they could not finish because not all the parts came in. For the 3rd service call they were to be there from 1 to 5. Got there at 1:15 and had already missed their call. Spent the next hour on the phone trying to get someone to still come out and was on hold for 20 minutes to 30 minutes and got disconnected twice. Problem not resolved and paying for service that I can not even use.

called ADT to install home security system. System was installed in June 22. Then I found out about ADT pulse and want to upgrade. Now I am told that I can not upgrade because system was not installed by ADT but by Authorized dealer. I called ADT and knew nothing about the dealer and I pay my monthly bill to ADT.
I have called several time with no satisfactory answer. I get a total run-around

we had an adt system for a few moths now only a few months the panel has a communication error and it sounds like a rotary phone i am shocked that adt didnt send a tech out like they said they was going to do originally so i called we tested the system they confirmed that they had to send a tech out they said it would be 25 dollars a visit i thought it was inappropriate since we pay around 41 dollars a month for monitoring seems like they would keep there systems up for u since u pay the bill we scheduled an appointment 12-5 the next day the tech came out right at 5 i thought that was terrible business practice so he tinkered with it a few minutes and said out system is fried so i asked about if it could have been due to lighting or a faulty panel so the tech automatically assumed lighting without no futher investigation and said lightening not covered and he said it would be 450 dollars for a new system then he flat out and said adt doesnt make any money from there contracts and it takes 18 months for them to see any revenue from the customers so that tells me adt dont care about the customers and everytime they come see u they will sell u a new panel every time because thats how adt makes there money 25 dollars and 400 to 500 dollars everytime they make a so called service call to replace ur panel cause they dont want to work on it. he said its after 5 so i wouldnt be able to get u a new panel today thats ur problem. so after the visit he said i will waive the 25 dollar fee in all reality i think he he realized he said to much so he would waive the fee so he would not feel so guilty ripping us off

ADT is not perfect but if you speak to the right person they will solve your problem rather quickly.
For rebates Deals Specials and or billing and technical problem I use this number normally a supervisor will help you 1888-720-5982 mon thru friday 8am to 11pm saturday 9am to 10am sunday 10am to 6pm @ eastern time hope this helps you all. I use this number for additional credit and tech issues.

Worst in customer service. 3 yr contract plus minimum of 3 yr. contract. Be sure to give 30 days notice or you pay after contract is up, even if you switch. Also make sure they have the right address, they had mine wrong and I had to jump through hoops to get the right address entered so police wouldn,t go to a non-exsistant address.

I called ADT today to set up home security, they talk fast and side step questions!! They are very slick (slimy). They never told me about the 3 year contract until AFTER they took my credit card, and I was told about it AFTER I asked him! When I complained earlier in the conversation that the website CLEARLY states that monitoring is $1 a day, and they were telling me that it was $35.99 month, and if you want wireless, because phone lines can be cut easily!! (thats what tehe guy told me!!!), then its $44.99 a month. Then I was put on hold to talk to a manager, (while the employee was listening in, you could hear his deep breathing!), the manager offered me a $100 Visa if I signed up. I was going to do it, then I thought to ask about the contract, 3 years!!!, so I told them I didn't want it, and forget about it. The employee argueed that he had told me about the contract, (he didn't), and the manager actually told me that he would talk to me when I called back after I had been broken into!!!!!!!!!!! Complete scuzz! NEVER will I do business with that company! Unbelievable.

Be wary of Elite and ADT. The sales pitch is slick and the rebate program is very much like a bait and switch - you have to go get two cashiers checks, but not just ANY cashier's checks.. They make it very tough to sign up and then you have to track all the receipts, etc. It is a RIP OFF. And don't forget you get to pay 75% of the FULL 3 year contract if you cancel early. Stick with Protection One. I wish I had... (Even though the service person was very professional)
